Welcome to the Project Page for the City's Local Road Safety Plan!

A Local Road Safety Plan proactively addresses local safety needs, identifies potential improvement projects, and qualifies the City to apply for safety grant funding.

A Public Meeting was held on February 7, 2024

Thank you to those who attended the meeting! Your input and experience driving, walking, and biking Placerville streets is so valuable, and all of the information and concerns that were discussed at the meeting will help shape the City's LRSP.

Next up, the project team will prepare a draft of the Local Road Safety Plan, which will be reviewed by staff.  Ultimately, the LRSP will be brought to City Council for adoption, which will enable the City to begin applying for certain types of grants to make the improvements.
