The City Manager's office oversees the human resources functions of the City, prepares administrative policies that all departments follow, coordinates and monitors the City budget, directs community and economic development activities and oversees the City's risk management program. The office is comprised of Manager, Administration, City Clerk, Human Resources, and Information Technology.
The Engineering Department provides general administration and engineering services to the City's complete infrastructure (water, sewer, drainage, and roadway network), including management and support of the Hangtown Creek Water Reclamation Facility, as well as permitted inspection services for residential and commercial development within City limits.
The Finance Department manages all the City’s financial and investment activities in a manner that is consistent with prudent, sound, and useful accounting practices and legal requirements.
The Information Technology division is responsible for the integrity and maintenance of all City computer, phone, data, hardware and software systems. I.T. continually seeks out the most efficient ways to collect, process, store, and distribute all City government information using the best technologies we can.
