State Mandated Draft Fire Hazard Severity Zones

Government Code Section 51179 requires the City to adopt the State recommended Fire Hazard Severity Zones.   Prior to adoption, the maps must be made available for Public Review.  You may review the map for the City of Placerville by clicking here.  You can search by address to find your current designation on the web at: https://osfm.fire.ca.gov/what-we-do/community-wildfire-preparedness-and-mitigation/fire-hazard-severity-zones

A hard copy of the map is also available in the Planning Department at City Hall.   Any comments on the map should be emailed to dwatkins-howey@cityofplacerville.org. For additional information, click here for FAQ's.

The City of Placerville plans to adopt the maps in April 2025.
