Public Works

The Public Works Division manages the general operations and maintenance of the City's streets, parking lots, sewer, water, and storm drain systems.  Maintenance is preformed consistent with sound practices and legal requirements that are applicable to the current and long-term needs and interests of the City.

The Division is composed of the following:

  • Streets and Roads
  • Water and Sewer
  • Downtown Parking Lots
  • Water Protection
  • Fat's, Oil's and Grease (F.O.G. Program)
  • Cross Connection and Backflow Program
  • Storm Drain System
  • Bridges
  • Fire Hydrants

Winter Storm Sandbags 
Sand bags are available to City residents.  Sand is located in the parking lot of the US Post Office off Sacramento Street and on Mosquito Road at the City gravel parking lot near the Bus Station.  Bags for the Sand can be picked up at the City Police Station 24/7.  You only need to bring a shovel, strong back, and transportation.
